The course is a 2-laps of super flat and fast, long straight closed roads, starting and finishing at Monkton Athletics Track. The Elite Race wave will be on their 2nd lap when the Mass wave starts giving a complete free hit on the course.

The winner of Jarrow 10k receives 25 points, the second-place finisher 18 points, with 15, 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2 and 1 points for 3-10th towards their Top Flight Races series points total.
